Avoiding Stock Photo Rejection

Posted by Dan Feildman | Filed under my google

When entering the stock photo sales arena your digital camera is the most important tool you will have. Acceptance or rejection of your images will depend foremost on the quality of the image you are selling; to receive the best quality images I personally recommend a 5 mega-pixel digital camera that is set to maximum resolution.

Never submit more than 50 photos at a time and be careful not to upload the same photo twice, as this will also lead to possible photo rejection and even to account closure. To avoid this happening, don’t change the file name as your PC will point out any duplicates, and then when you are have a batch to upload change the file names accordingly. Windows has built in software for multiple file name changes, so it is just a question of a few clicks and won’t be a time wasting exercise.

Besides your camera the second most important factor is choosing the right keywords for your photos, thereby increasing your sales. The internet contains a variety of sites that have tools to help you figure out which keywords would work best for your photos. Another way you can figure out keywords is to view similar photos on Google Image and see which keywords are being used for these photos. Don’t go crazy on keywords however, limit yourself to 6-10 per image as any more than 10 might be considered spam and rejected.

So as I said quality is the main determinating factor to avoid Photo rejection, so make sure that the images are not out of focus, and that the light balance is even. Also if your photos may be too large in size, especially if you aiming at optimum quality, so my suggestion would be to use either Adobe Elements or Adobe Photoshop to reduce the sizing, as with this software the quality will not be affected. If you need to make an image larger, don’t go over 5% as the quality will be reduced significantly.

Finally don’t submit any image that has previously been rejected. It’s better to take that shot again, but this time paying attention to the above guidelines, as this way your photos will hardly ever be rejected and your photos will make you a lot more money.

Take Note Of These Good Design Practices

Posted by Ferdinand Emy | Filed under my google

Your web site is where your business resides — its like the headquarter of an offline company. Hence, it is consequential to practice good design principles to insure your site reaches out to the maximum number of visitors and sells to as many persons as feasible.

Make sure you have clear directions on the navigation of your website. The navigation menu should be uncluttered and concise so that visitors know how to navigate around your website without confusion.

Reduce the number of images on your website. They make your site load very slowly and more oftentimes than not they’re very unnecessary. If you think any image is essential on your site, ensure you optimize them utilizing image editing programs so that they have a minimum file size.

Keep your text paragraphs at a reasonable length. If a paragraph is overly long, you should split it into separate paragraphs so that the text blocks won’t be overly great. This is vital because a block of text that is too large will deter visitors from reading your content.

Ensure your website complies to web standards at www.w3.org and make sure they are cross-browser compatible. If your website looks great in Internet Explorer but breaks horribly in Firefox and Opera, you’ll lose out on a lot of prospective visitors.

Avoid employing scripting languages on your site unless its absolutely necessary. Use scripting languages to handle or manipulate data, not to create visual effects on your website. Heavy scripts will slow down the loading time of your site and even crash a good number of browsers. Plus, scripts aren’t supported across all browsers, so some visitors might miss consequential info because of that.

Use CSS to style your page content because they save a lot of work by styling all elements on your website in one go.

One Magic Way to Get Free Targeted Traffic

Posted by Henry Zeng | Filed under my google

Do you know there are two types of traffic? Targeted traffic and non-targeted traffic. Targeted traffic from people who are interested in your web pages and would be more likely to spend money on what you offer.

And non-targeted traffic consists of the people who are not interested in buying what you have. They will not part with their money for what you are selling.

Obviously, it’s the targeted traffic that we’re interested in. It’s no need to try to convince the non-targeted groups into buying from you. You’ll be wasting both your time and effort.

You may also hear that most free traffic sources will give you untargeted visitors, but here you will get one surefire way to get targeted traffic for Free!

It’s a “fool proof” way to get targeted traffic & passive earning. And, yes, the work is also dull and boring. But it WORKS!

So how it works?

1.Do keyword research, find keywords that are relevant for web pages. These keywords must have low competition that are frequently searched but do not have so many resources on the net.

2.Write your articles around those keywords. Make sure your article title is unique and nobody uses your title.

3.Create a resource box at the end of each of your articles and put link(s) point your site. Put relevant keywords of your site in the text link(s) .

4.Submit your article to article sites. Only submit to those article sites that with high traffic and Google PR.

5.Repeat this process to make it work - YOU SHOULD WRITE AT LEAST ONE EZINE ARTICLE EVERY WEEK.

I recommend you to write 3 new articles per day.

Once you have submitted your article, you can expect to show up on the first page of the results in Google or Yahoo within a week, and usually stay there for between 3 weeks and 2 months.

Summary

You can see that you don’t need to spend any money to set this method up - unlike some of other paid ways.

But remind yourself to be consistent. Most people try something for a brief period of time, and when they don’t see results immediately, they often give up. You may be the exception. If you are, you will see dramatic results.

It is a time-consuming method, you can’t see results overnight. But it provides results for long term - you will be rewarded with free, targeted traffic for years.

The Advantages and Disadvantages Of Social Networking

Posted by timtim | Filed under Uncategorized

Social Networking is a recent invention that has the Internet still at the edge of its seat due to its popularity with people. This is mostly because it really is for the people. Bringing every kind of social group together in one place and letting them interact is really a big thing indeed. Everything about it lies on the advantages and disadvantages of social networking, and what it can do for you.

Here are the advantages that can be more than enough for you to want to join in.

Low Costs

Definitely, it’s cheaper to use online social networking for both personal and business use because most of it is usually free. While personal use is rather simple for anyone, the business functions are underestimated by many. In a social networking site, you can scout out potential customers and target markets with just a few clicks and keystrokes, adding a boost to your usual advertisements and promotional strategies. It lets you learn about their likes and dislikes, which is tremendous. Whether on a budget or not it makes no difference, if you want to fine tune your business then this is the way to go.

Builds Credibility

You definitely can gain the customers’ confidence if you can connect to them on both a personal and professional level. Despite having to do a bit of work, it definitely pays off as you can be tapped for an offer if someone catches wind of your products or services. As long as you don’t pursue them too aggressively, you will do well here.

Connections

You are friends with people who have other friends, and so on. There is potential in such a common situation. By using a social networking site, you can do what you can and get connected with these people to form a web of connections that can give you leverage if you play your cards right. As long as you give as well as you recieve, then they will most likely stick with you. These connections will turn out to be very valuable in the long run.

This sounds very enticing indeed. However, there are some disadvantages though?

Lack of Anonymity

You are putting out information about your name, location, age, gender, and many other types of information that you may not want to let others know. Most people would say be careful, but no one can be certain at any given time. As long as people can know who you exactly are, then some can find ways to do you in.

Scams and Harassment

There is a potential for failure of security in both personal and business context. While many sites apply certain measures to keep any of these cases of harassment, cyber-stalking, online scams, and identity theft to an absolute minimum, you still may never know.

Time Consuming

If this is not your kind of thing, that it would just be a waste of time for you. Even if you are doing this for business purposes of just doing it for kicks, the key to social networking is that it is supposed to be fun. That should be reasonable enough for anyone, but there are those people who don’t see the point. For them, it can be a disadvantage.

Now there’s something to really think about. Nothing is without a blemish, but those of social networking shouldn’t really be that much of a concern regarding your safety. Everything will go well as long as you go along without making any big mistakes. You can take advantage of the Internet phenomenon that continues up to this day.

Once you understand the advantages and disadvantages of social networking, then you can cruise through without fail.

Social Networking, Meeting Associates On The Internet

Posted by timtim | Filed under Uncategorized

I am tired of hearing about social networking online even though I know that everyone just wants to have friends. You’ll find people with a lot of friends on sites like Myspace.

The word “friends” might give someone a false sense of popularity although these people are not really friends with anyone. People don’t care about others yet they rack up high number of friends online, which seems strange to me.

Social networking should be a little more personal. I don’t have many on my Myspace list, and that is because I only add people that I know. There are a few people that I admire but don’t know on my list, but that is only about two of them. The rest are people that I know in person, or have known elsewhere online for a while.

They aren’t strangers, and I know each of them by name and could tell you a lot about them. My idea of social networking is to find people I have a lot in common with, and then form real friendships.

I know everyone just likes something new, and if this type of social networking makes them happy, then I’ll go for it as well. You should realize that when it comes down to knowing who your real friends are, you can probably count only a few.

Friendship is not just something you get from a friend request online, it is something that grows over time. Social networking should be about more than numbers.

There are many other of these social networking sites out there, but none are quite as popular as Myspace. I have heard about Face Book, but I have never seen the site or had any reason to do so. It took me quite a while to sign up for Myspace, and I only did that at the urging of friends. I guess perhaps I am too old to be excited about this form of social networking.

I would think if it is still around when my daughter gets older, she will want to try it. I know that I will let her, but I will also keep a very close eye on everything she does whether she likes it or not. I know there are dangers, and no matter what they do to make is safer, those nasty people out there will find ways around it. Parental control is the only thing you can count on.
