Game-Changing Chiropractic Marketing Tactics with Social Networks

Posted by Dr. Matthew Loop | Filed under youtube

When utilizing social networks like Myspace, YouTube, and Facebook for your next chiropractic marketing campaign, be very careful how you proceed. You only get one shot at building credibility within your niche or local community, so, ideally you want to make sure that you receive guidance from someone who’s successfully harnessed the power of these networks already. Going at it alone will cost you thousands of dollars in mistakes, missed new patient opportunities, and a great deal of time, energy and effort learning a new language. There are also unspoken rules you must know as well if you want to be in it for the long term.

Social media is an interesting phenomenon, in the fact that, it has spread like wildfire and permanently altered the landscape and dynamics of communication as we know it. A question that is asked frequently by chiropractors is, “Are social networks just for teenagers?” In short, the answer is a whopping no! Not sure where this misconception came from but many are still oblivious to the millions of middle and older aged folks plugged in daily. Did you know that employers are actually passing laws at work because employees are literally addicted to this style of communication? As a savvy business owner and entrepreneur, I knew the implications of this immediately so I took advantage and my life hasn’t been the same since.

The internet is quickly becoming the highway to a better life for all kinds of people, and chiropractors need to get their vehicles in gear, moving quickly on the path to success. The time is now to utilize Web 2.0 to utterly transform the income of your practice, along with countless other ways to create endless streams of income.

I’m going to show you exactly how to get dozens of new patients through your office doors each month, and guess what, you won’t have to pay a dime in advertising while you do it. Don’t listen to the self-proclaimed gurus who want to charge you ridiculous amounts of money to teach you the same old practices that are no longer working. If they aren’t teaching social media, they are teaching you nothing.

Barely anyone is using social networks to build their practice at the present time. The ones that are doing it successfully are the ones that I taught. They are utterly dominating the competition in the community and are able to reach people that would otherwise be untouchable with the do-not-call lists or with postcards, etc. On one of my profiles, I have in excess of 6,400 friends, 3,000 of which are members of my local community who I can communicate with via blogs and bulletins. I am the first and only consultant to leverage the power of social media and share these carefully guarded secrets with other struggling doctors and students.

I was able to personally establish myself as the best chiropractic expert in my community and almost automatically received countless new referrals monthly. The reputation that I have created for myself is gold in the industry, and when people go onto MySpace or YouTube looking for a doctor / chiropractor, they’re going to come up with me. People are hungry for this information, and my endless speaking engagements are proof. My goal was to improve the business and lives of practicing chiropractors and many others, and I have achieved that goal.

Take a moment to brainstorm how you want to be seen in your community, and what kind of a business you want to market. From these initial ideas, you’ll come up with ideas for the right feel for your video that you’ll upload online, and then watch as the business comes rolling in. Keep the video under 5 minutes, because people have short attention spans. My video training course will show you how to do this and so much more.

And all of this is easier than you ever imagined. You don’t even need a camera to start, but you might want one down the line. When I first began, I made my video with screen capture software, and the success I achieved from that was amazing. Those doctors paying through the teeth for pay-per-click would love to have the free advertising tricks that I teach. It’s time to dominate Google with this free advertizing technique, and ditch the dollar-per-click trap. You’re going to achieve results that you never imagined possible.

Learning What Twitter Is All About

Posted by Michael Fleischner | Filed under my google

For a long time I’ve been avoiding the Twitter phenomenon. That is, until recently. A fellow associate of mine encouraged me to join and even explored some of the reasons why I hadn’t done so. I simply told him that I didn’t quite understand the need to Tweet and the real purpose of using Twitter. With some reluctance, I signed up for an account.

After learning how to use Twitter directly, and then adopting the use of tools that would allow me to make more out of my Twitter experience, I’m finding a number of different aspects valuable to my everyday job, hobbies, and social relationships.

With so many varied interests, its always been a real challenge for me to find like minded individuals who are in to so many of the same things that I am. Twitter has solved this problem for me. Not only can you find others who share similar interests or vocations, but you can follow posts made around a given subject area or topic. This clues you in to those interested in the topic and what’s being discussed across millions of users. Not only do you have access to individuals sharing the same interests you have, but also celebrities. I never really thought that I would care to have access to what one celeb or another was doing, but it definitely makes people seem more approachable. I’ve also sent and received Tweets from celebrities, making them seem more human.

When you find a community of individuals who share your interests, concerns, and are willing to have a discussion around them, it enriches your experience. This is especially true as I have built a small following of people within my area of interest. When I have a question or topic that needs discussion, this group is always willing to share what they know and comment on my messages, also called tweets. When users respond to one of my messages, pushing it out to their followers, it is called re-tweeting.

The greatest benefit of connecting with other with whom you chose is that you can filter the information and respond when the mood strikes. By using applications that allow you to prioritize Tweets or search for specific conversations, you can quickly see benefit in the information that’s being shared. Often times, individuals include links to valuable content and information that they have come across on the web. This is both useful and time consuming when related to a particular need you may have.

I resisted social media at first for a variety of reasons. Now that I have some experience with a tool like Twitter, I believe that I fully understand my initial hesitation. The reason why I didn’t use it initially was because I didn’t see the point. What I didn’t realize was that the only way to get the point of using Twitter was to first use it. Now that I have, I understand and appreciate the value it delivers.

Twitter Is Your Source For Quality Leads

Posted by Michael Fleischner | Filed under my google

Twitter is being talked about all over the world. In fact, the application has now been around for some time and each day new uses are found for this blog like tool. As a marketer, I’ve been wondering whether or not how it might be used to help my business.

Personally, I’m not usually first to use a new application. I’d rather others adopt new technologies, work out the kinks and then I jump on board. The same has been true with Twitter. After some time, I opened and account and am learning about this tool and all of the additional apps that have been created for various reasons. After just a short while, I learned that the main reason for Twitter usage is connecting with others.

What if you could find influential people in your industry and directly listen to them, learn from them, and have insight into what they’re focused on? Enter Twitter and the ability to search, find, and follow those in your industry. You may be surprised by all the people out there in your niche sharing ideas, news, and information. By following these people you can stay on top of industry trends and learn a great deal.

In addition to following people on Twitter and the industry information they’re sharing, you can also find others who bring value to your day. Whether its connecting with someone who is humorous or provides you with daily thought, your list of people to follow is completely in your control. This gives you a great deal of flexibility and also allows you to filter information that you want to receive.

Another benefit of Twitter is that of a following. In addition to following other people, others can follow you. Over time, this allows you to build a large list of followers. You may be asking yourself what type of benefit this provides but for those of you who are marketing online, you know that its all about building a list. Twitter is the ultimate list of like minded individuals who value what you have to say, share, or promote.

Once you’ve established a list and provide a good deal of value through your thoughts and ideas that are shared on a regular basis, you can begin offering information on affiliate products or your own products and services. When done correctly, others will learn more about these offers and even make a purchase. This is direct marketing at its best. You should be careful with how you treat your list, much like you would any other marketing list.

Think of Twitter as one on one marketing. You are building a following and your goal is to provide value first and sell letter. By creating a list of followers, you are in essence building a house list of those who are interested in what you have to say. This is essential for those who want to succeed online.

Profitable Chiropractic Marketing on Social Networks

Posted by Dr. Matthew Loop | Filed under youtube

Even established chiropractors have seen a slowdown in their business because of today’s economic crunch. Threatened with financial jeopardy, many are looking for new, updated marketing tactics that set their practice apart from the same old marketing techniques used by others in the industry.

The very face of marketing has changed dramatically even over the past three years. The greatest contributing factor to this is the methods of communication that are being used by people professionally and socially. Only those who are willing to take the leap and establish themselves in the world of Web 2.0 will survive in the long run. Social networks like Myspace, YouTube and Facebook have become the online meeting place for people looking for everything from love to products and services.

For the past few years, I have been teaching chiropractors and other professionals how to leverage the power of social media and see massive, real benefits in their businesses. I am the author and creator of a system that has literally transformed the chiropractic profession and the way practitioners are marketing themselves.

When I was first on these social networks, I knew there had to be a way to harness and leverage them to get massive amounts of new patients coming into my office. That’s when I began the countless hours and months testing and perfecting a system that continuously gave me incredible results.

Social networks are free to join, and anyone can become a member. You are able to set up a public profile and join a vast, global community of people from all walks of life. The key to working in these communities, however, is not as simple as signing up and sending spam advertisements to other members. In fact, doing just that will get you kicked off the site and/or irritate other members to the point that your reputation will be virtually worthless. Those who have failed at social networking are guilty of just this type of behavior. The key to getting the most out of your efforts on these sites is working with someone who has experience doing the same thing.

The key to marketing in social networks comes down to credibility. If people perceive you as trustworthy, normal, and friendly you will be welcomed as a ‘friend’. If however, you attack your contacts with a traditional marketing campaign, you will fail miserably. You must be able to give your contacts and friends something of value. Serious thought needs to be put in to the design of your profile page, and the kind of information you place on it. To compete in Web 2.0 your pages must be interesting, informative, and most importantly-fun

Let me leave you with a couple simple tips about chiropractic marketing on Myspace. Never send a friend request without a polite message! This is Myspace 101 stuff that is very important since you want the person to know how you ran across their profile. Always include videos on your profile, as it makes people stay on your page for a longer period of time and holds interest. Now, I’m not talking of all chiropractic videos either. People want to know the real you, not just what your profession is!

This is going to be a new language for most doctors since we live in more technologically advanced times. You have a choice though. You can either take a year out of your schedule to learn everything you need to know about social media marketing or you can find a mentor who’s been there and done that. The latter will reduce your learning curve by about a year while the first one will cost you an arm and leg in money and mistakes.

Tips for generating business leads with facebook

Posted by timtim | Filed under Uncategorized

One-fifth of the internet users on the planet or about 200,000,000 people and growing are on facebook. So if you do online business, you might as well do it where everyone hangs out. Right?

The first thing to do then would be to set yourself up properly on this mammoth medium. Whatever profile you might have, review it keeping the following cardinals in mind:

  • Have a neat photo. Remember, facebook is like a party… look proper; welcoming
  • Write a short profile note that establishes the thing about you people will find irresistible
  • Set up at most 3 website links; to your blog, your system page and your twitter account. If you don’t have these, no problem! Put your name and email in the box in the left column of the author’s profile and you’ll see how to to set them all up shortly. Do NOT put your business site link here… it’s like going to a party with a briefcase
  • Fill your interests and activities in a way that is ‘bulleted’ for it is these words that help people ‘search’ you out
  • Write a brief “About me”… use it to re-establish your unique, specific value and save the details for your blog. In facebook we only want people to feel, “hey, this person is cool to know!”.
  • Go to the expert’s fb profile (link above) for guidance. And send him a friend request

Next, you want to build a like-minded circle of friends. So where do you find them? There’s a ‘search’ bar on the top right corner of fb. Find it and place the qualities you are looking for there. For instance, if I were to do this I’d type ‘network marketers’. A lot of “people”, “groups” and “pages” will come up.

Now click on one of groups or one of the pages that has a large following. Scroll down that page till you see the members / fans. Right click on “show all” to open in a new window. What you have before you are other facebookers in your field… which is why they subscribed to that group / fan-page in the first place!

Your task is to “Add as a friend” about 40-50 of them everyday. It takes about 10 minutes to do so. And while you do, copy-paste a one-line “personal message” that helps them associate with you. Else they will wonder about your motives behind befriending and you won’t start a relationship of trust. I use a line like, “Hi (name), we both seem to be friends of (group/page)! I work with select people as a success coach. Let us explore possibilities for you” Obviously you’ll make relevant changes.

Once friends accept you, you can message them, chat with them, or invite them to whatever else may be of common interest. This is why your profile set up is important so it is clear how you can steer your relationship. And your choice of friends should be of your target group, to aid business.

Another good idea is join ‘Groups’. When you have ‘searched’ them, and they are of your interest area, join them too and post somethings on their ‘wall’ and ‘bulletin boards’. Other group members tend to see this stuff and that could spark their interest in you.

Getting adventurous, you could also ‘Create a group’ (look for the icon on top of your Groups list). This way you can invite all your friends and they can invite their friends and you can have quite a following if you are providing valuable input. Make sure your choice of group name is attractive. In your group profile you can post pictures, videos and links. On a weekly basis you may also want to ‘Message all members’ so they could visit any sites you’d like them to … or just read up some of your ideas and thoughts.

Videos are a good tool on facebook too. As a communication platform facebook allows you to record videos directly (see an icon titled ‘Video’ among the icons at the bottom left of page). You can share films from your hard disk too. Same for photos. And these can be ‘tagged’ with the names of the people you want to do business with. For example if you sell jewelry, you could ‘tag’ a collection to 20 prospects and the pictures / video would land as a link on their wall!. Sneaky little trick, eh?

In the same way, you can write on and attach links to people’s profile ‘walls’ to draw their attention to your site / article. When you do these things please ensure you address them warmly - like friends - or they’ll be bugged.

In case your business is having an event, you can ‘create an event’ using the icons on the bottom left bar and invite all your friends to it… so the message spreads virally. Just be sure you are harnessing this platform in moderation, with ethics and providing stuff people like to see. Otherwise the consequences may be undesirable; like poor friendships and even an acount closure by facebook. So think like a smart business owner and have fun with facebook!

Facebook - why link dropping is bad

Posted by timtim | Filed under Uncategorized

Many people over 20 are introduced to facebook by younger family members. (I certainly was). It can be very intimidating at first glance.
Members of your family photographed on holiday and/or dressed in silly clothes with comments added by people you have never heard of - some of which can look very dodgy indeed.

So how can this collection of oddballs and misfits be any use what so ever to your business?

Well, the thing to remember is that oddballs and misfits are everywhere these days, walk down the road or to the train station and you will see variety of different shapes and sizes of people. A business person wouldn’t view everyone of these as a prospect in real life and neither should you on facebook.

The second thing to know from the start is that facebook doesn’t come with a training manual or how to video. As with so many things these days, people are just expected to “get on with it” And without any sort of online training often just means copying what other people do. With regards to promoting a business on facebook, unfortunately, this generally means link dropping.

Someone starts a group (It’s a little known secret that forums and online communities are very hard to start) and invites their friends to join. Friends join, and because there isn’t a community already and because they don’t know what to say or have never been coached in how to start a conversation, they just say

“Hi, we are XYZ widget makers and if you ever need widgets, visit our website”

Then 1 of 2 things happens

The first probable thing is that no one is ever likely to click that link.

Why?

Most people hate being sold to. Plus they are unlikely to buy widgets (or any other service from someone they have neither met nor heard of before)

Next up is that anybody who does add a reply will just add something like.

“Hi, Top link”

And that’s a bit like saying to someone

“Hi, great hair” – but they can never say whats great about it

But there is another way

It takes time and effort – sorry to say that you can’t get everything for free these days.

It’s called networking – actually finding out what help people need and helping them - for free. Ignoring people who just drop links (spammers by any other name) and looking to meet the type of people that you would look for in real life. Yes you might need to spend some time and “kiss a few ugly sisters” as you go along but your business will benefit in the long run.

You will meet lots of new contacts in different parts of the country (and world) who you never would if you had never made the effort.

Get Tons Of Free Traffic Using A Marketing Funnel

Posted by Graeme Stuart | Filed under youtube

What’s a “Marketing Funnel”? Why would I want one?

If you’ve got something to sell online, like a business opportunity, a service or a product, then the “marketing funnel” will be amazingly helpful for you to generate a massive amount of free traffic to your website. The marketing funnel is used by many of the big marketers across the net.

Let me explain the analogy. The narrow end of the funnel is where your opt-in box is located, where prospects enter their email address and go through to make a direct sale. The wide end of the funnel is the catchment area. This is where all the potential online traffic come, from a wide variety of sources. If you can build a really big, far-reaching funnel, you can drive a gigantic amount of traffic.

So what exactly makes up the wide end, the catchment area, of the funnel?

To a certain extent, this is only limited by your imagination and how big you want the funnel to be.

A powerful and productive funnel would certainly include some of the following areas: -

- Social Media sites, eg. Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Orkut

- Video Media channels such as YouTube, Metacafe, Viddler and Revver

- Article Sites like Ezine Articles, Article Base and Buzzle

- Blogs such as Blogspot, Wordpress and Wikis

- Social Review Sites such as Squidoo and Hubpages

Additionally, you may also want to consider the following;

- Press Release sites such as Free-Press-Release.com

- Picture sites, eg. Flickr and Zoomr

- Social Bookmarking and linking sites like Delicious, Digg, Stumbleupon and Propeller

Due to the huge amount of people using these social sites, you can generate all the traffic youll ever need simply by establishing and maintaining a presence on them.

The objective is to be putting out content to as many places and as regularly as possible. Always make sure you are linking back to your opt-in page.

This strategy will boost your appearance as an authority figure, build your online presence, and expose you to a never-ending supply of prospects for you business. And you can effectively leverage your time. For example, just one article can provide you with an incredible amount of content for all these different networks.

An additional benefit of this system, is that due to all the back links, your search rankings for your main website in Google, Yahoo and others, will massively improve.

Once youre all set up, the time required will become considerably less and less. However, it will take some time in the beginning, to set up a quality social media traffic network.

The biggest chunk of time spent will be in the initial set up of your accounts. After that, it’s down to scheduling your time to add content on a continuous basis.

The building of your funnel is a process, and you’ll soon become very proficient at this and will see results very fast. It’s obviously not something that can be mastered overnight, but the more of it you do, the bigger the pay off will be.

The more of this you do, the more you’ll learn and find faster and easier ways to accomplish your main goals.

With being on the networks for a longer period of time, there’ll be a snowball effect. You will accumulate a gigantic amount of credibility and followers.

Naturally, followers who like and trust you equals tons of traffic, which will ultimately lead to tons of sales and huge profits. Which is of course, the name of the game!

Wishing you Great Success, Graeme Stuart YourSuccessNetBiz.com

Is Your Chiropractic Marketing Killing Your Practice?

Posted by Matthew Loop, DC | Filed under youtube

We’ve all heard the saying, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” Yet, it amazes me just how much I see this done within the chiropractic marketing and the profession as a whole. Far too many times I see chiropractors buying expensive media slots in the newspaper or on TV that are yielding mediocre results. It’s almost like these media sharks are feasting on “hope,” as the DC’s that I come into contact regularly with think they’ve just purchased a winning lottery ticket or something. Little do they know the startling reality on the other side. They’re actually killing their practice.

The economy is seriously in recession, and the big mistake that chiropractors are making is to stop marketing because it costs too much. You can’t bring more success to your business by not marketing, but you also can’t bring more success by paying through the teeth for marketing. So what’s the solution? It seems like there’s no escape from the current financial challenges. The only answer is to evolve with the times and utilize the tremendous power of online social media.

You may think, “I don’t have the money, so I cannot advertise and implement chiropractic marketing right now.” This is a common, flawed perception many chiropractors have. But the truth is, the best form of marketing and advertising is free nowadays. It’s not TV, newspaper ads, magazines, telemarketing, or postcard drops either. Chiropractors have been scammed and led to believe that you have to pay for new patients and the best type of marketing costs money.

So what’s the answer? If you have all your money tied-up in expensive ads and old marketing techniques with no results, you can still see loads of new patients walk through your doors using the exposure of Web 2.0 and social media; and it’s absolutely free! Chiropractic marketing is being completely revolutionized by sites like YouTube, MySpace, and Facebook. These sites aren’t just for teenagers as some would like you to believe. At least 50% of the traffic on these sites is 30 years or older.

Targeted marketing that specifically hits the demographic you need is the wave of the marketing future. It’s simple and cost effective, and you’ll be amazed at the amount of new patients and business you’ll receive. I can’t express how important it is to start your online marketing on the right foot! If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can seriously damage your credibility in your community from the get-go. This is how many chiropractors have failed. To create success, you need to find someone who has experienced success.

Let me give you a specific strategy that you can begin to implement today, as far as marketing on these networks are concerned. Invite people within a 5 mile radius of your zip-code to become your friend and begin to communicate with them. Every person that you invite as a friend will eventually learn about you and what you do for a living. This is not just virtual “hog-wash.” Getting traffic and visitors to your website is the same, exact way. You can literally explode your website visits in a matter of hours with proper social media chiropractic marketing.

You can also begin to be of value to these people by providing them useful information online. When you make daily video blogs or weekly postings about relevant topics, people will begin to see that you can help them, and they’ll take note. For instance, I posted a simple video about headache relief and 3,000 people viewed it within one week! Viral marketing was the cause of all this exposure. When one person saw it and found it helpful, they passed it on to a friend, and so forth. Do you see the power?

Social media marketing is the answer to your marketing problems during these difficult times. When you have the right coach by your side, you can instantly tap the power of Web 2.0 without wasting time trying to figure it all out alone. Watch your practice soar to unbelievable heights as hundreds of new patients walk through your doors each month. And not only that, but this success can be yours absolutely for free!
